The Pre-primary section at Shishuvan includes Playschool, Nursery, Junior KG, and Senior KG. The Playschool consists of two divisions, named Karma and Shraddha, each staffed with three teachers, maintaining a teacher-student ratio of 1:10. Additionally, there are two helpers assisting in this section.
Throughout the pre-primary stage, the priority is to cultivate a nurturing and enriching atmosphere that supports the comprehensive growth of children. The curriculum is designed to enhance physical, cognitive, social, emotional, and creative skills through various activities. These activities involve play-based learning, storytelling, music, art, craft, handwork, water play, sand play, basic language development, and numerical activities.
Aligned with the developmental requirements of early childhood, learning is facilitated by offering sensory experiences, organising frequent field visits, and engaging with external resources to bring real-world experiences into the classroom.
Playschool Timings:
Batch 1 - 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
Batch 2 - 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Timings for Nursery, Jr.KG and Sr.KG
Monday to Friday: 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
The goal of the Pre-primary program is to sustain and nurture children's inherent curiosity and enthusiasm for learning. In alignment with this objective, we focus on providing customised learning experiences designed to cater to the unique learning styles of each child.
The curriculum embraces arts, craft, music and movement, computers and age-appropriate sports activities. Our dedicated counsellors and special educators provide comprehensive support to ensure the academic, emotional, and social well-being of each child. Additionally, our resource room serves as a designated area for structured free play activities aimed at enhancing fine and gross motor skills. These activities offer vast scope for students to engage in critical thinking, creativity, and explore independently, fostering a sense of achievement and discovery.
Furthermore, school events such as Sports Day, Fairs, Annual Day, and Project Day serve as valuable opportunities for all students to showcase and develop their talents.
