The activities are conducted through experiential learning to ensure necessary skills development and enhance creativity and confidence. The learning process in the Elementary department uses a thematic model. The Head of the Department, along with the teachers, works with environmental themes, weaving in language skills - listening, speaking, reading, and writing, as well as math concepts. It also integrates topics and activities from as many other subjects as possible. Along with English, two Indian languages - Hindi, Marathi continue with a formal introduction to writing in Elementary. A choice is given to students to choose either Gujarati or Sanskrit from Std I. The students are provided with carefully designed hands-on activities, skill-based readers/booklets, and worksheets.
Continuous formative and summative evaluation is conducted not only using paper-pen but other ways of assessments to gauge skill development in scholastic as well as other areas. Grades are given for academic skills and rubrics based feedback is given for non-academic skills. A comprehensive report of teachers' observations is given for every student twice a year.
