Chacha Chhakkan Ke Kaarname is from a series of short plays for children, adapted by Begum Qudsia Zaidi from Imtiaz Ali Taj's short stories. The play revolves around Chacha Chakkan, a forty-five-year-old gentleman, his family, and the quirky misadventures that emerge from his penchant for interfering in household affairs.

Gillo Theatre Repertory is a Mumbai based company that produces plays for children and young people.
Gillo is curating the Begum Qudsia Zaidi Centenary Festival in 2014-15, during which 3 plays and an exhibition will be held at NCPA, Mumbai in Feb. 2015.
Begum Qudsia Zaidi, a writer, social worker and theatre practitioner, is best remembered for co-founding the Hindustani Theatre in Delhi. This festival celebrates the work of this important, though forgotten, figure of theatre, including her work for children.
